Community Resiliency Model
What is CRM?
The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) is a set of wellness skills that were developed using the latest knowledge in neuroscience. CRM training helps people build their personal resilience by understanding the biology of stress reactions (how and why stress affects us in our bodies and minds), and learning skills that bring the body and mind back into a natural balance and to a sense of inner strength, calm and control.
How does it work?
Our bodies have physical sensations associated with stress and wellbeing, and CRM explains how we can recognise and track these signals/sensations. This knowledge, together with the biology-based skills, helps people to work with their body and mind to effectively regulate their stress responses and promote a positive wellbeing.
CRM training is for everyone
The skills are easy to learn, so people of all ages and from all walks of life can practise and share them. Having seen and experienced the effectiveness of the CRM skills, I am passionate about sharing this training so others can experience the same success in their work and personal lives.
Research shows that by practicing wellness skills, our wellbeing improves, and our resilience grows. This not only helps us manage stress in the present, it empowers us to confidently face challenges in the future too.
The Community Resiliency Model teaches personal resilience and how to then support other people’s resilience. I have also set up two other programmes that apply CRM specifically in the workplace and family environments.
